Hi, I'm Martelle Slabbert, South African born and raised, currently living in Japan. Since arriving from England, where I lived for 4 years, I started looking at the world thru a lense. The last four years has been an amazing transformation from "looking" to "seeing". For the first time, I now see things, people, sites and other in a different perspective and this is truly made easy in Japan with it's rich culture, multitude of festivals, shrines, temples and wonderful people.

I am currently studying at the Academy of Art University in San Fransisco to expand my photography and enhance my career. I love to capture the beauty of a city and prefer to take natural and spontaneous photo's of it's people.
